This Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Module focuses on key Irish legislation in order to enhance the manager’s knowledge of Employment Law, including Unfair Dismissals Act, Disciplinary Procedures and Employment Contracts. The role of the National Employment Rights Authority is also explored. |

The College was established in 1992 and offers HETAC accredited degree courses in Management and Social Studies as well as Continuous Professional Development modules in those areas. At present, the College has over 650 students enrolled. Courses are delivered through the Supported Open Learning model - a type of distance learning model with substantial supports offered to adult learners such as virtual classrooms, online resources, optional workshop/seminars, email/face to face/group chat tutorials, and fortnightly tutorials via telephone with an assigned course tutor. Assessment is primarily conducted through written assignments and an extensive 4-page rubrik accounts for detailed feedback for each student. Fees instalment plans are also available to support each student. |
